Skate & Scoot, Backyard Ballers 

Breakout is a day camp program offered during school vacation days.  Open to children age 6-11 years old (may be 5 if currently enrolled in TK or K).  Skate & Scoot Camp focuses on learning to use skateboards and scooters at the new McKinleyville Skate BMX Park. Our Backyard Ballers Camp focuses on participants learning a plethora of classic yard games and backyard sports with resources from the McKinleyville Activity Center and Pierson Park. Instruction will take place from 9:00am-12:00pm. Participants engage in a variety of other activities in the afternoon including arts & crafts, sports, games, and more.  Breakout runs out of the McKinleyville Activity Center adjacent to Pierson Park. Breakout is held during the following school vacations:

• Backyard Ballers: Thanksgiving Week Break, Nov. 25-27, 2024 (No Breakout on Thursday & Friday)
• NO New Years Week Break This Year!
• Skate and Scoot: President’s Week Break, Feb. 18-21, 2025 (No Breakout on Monday)
• Skate and Scoot: Spring Break, April 7-11, 2025

      Registration Opens September 3, 2024.

      Pre-registration is required.

      Payment is due in full at time of registration. 

      Registration requires the Youth Liability Release Form, as well as, a Supplemental Registration Form or Online Registration.
