Located at 1315 School Road, McKinleyville, CA 95519, the park is open from sunrise to sunset. It occupies 3 acres and has an attached parking lot.

Our Parks & Recreation Department was awarded a Prop. 68 Statewide Park Development Grant on December 8, 2021, which will provide $2,331,375 to build a BMX Track and new Park on our Washington Property. This property is 3 acres in size and is located between Washington and School Roads. 

The park has a  BMX Track, playground, outdoor half court basketball court, pickleball courts, walking paths, a parking lot and landscaping.

Park Rules & BMX Track Guidelines

To help keep the BMX Track and Park safe, clean, and enjoyable for everyone, please follow the rules below:

BMX Track

  • Pedal bikes ONLY. The BMX Track is intended for human-powered, non-motorized bicycles only.
  • NOT ALLOWED: E-bikes, e-motos, dirt bikes, motorcycles, motorized bicycles, scooters, and other motorized vehicles are not permitted on the BMX Track.
  • NOT ALLOWED: RC cars and other remote-controlled vehicles are not permitted on the BMX Track.
  • No motorized or gas-powered recreational vehicles or devices are permitted.
  • Riders should use the track at their own risk and ride within their ability.
  • Helmets and appropriate safety gear are required.

Park Rules

  • Park is open from sunrise to sunset.
  • Please use all facilities and amenities appropriately and respect other park users.
  • Dogs must be on leash and under the control of their owner. Dogs are not permitted on the BMX Track, Pickleball Court or Playground.
  • Please dispose of trash properly and help keep the park clean.
  • No vandalism, unauthorized alterations, or damage to park facilities, landscaping, or equipment.
  • Motorized vehicles are not permitted in pedestrian or recreational areas.
  • Please observe all posted rules and regulations.

Help us protect this community facility! The BMX Track and Park were made possible through significant community investment and grant funding. Proper use of the facilities helps preserve them for riders, families, and the entire McKinleyville community.
